New Appointment: Book Review Editor of European Journal of Tourism Research (EJTR)

I am delighted to share that I have recently been appointed as Associate Editor (Book Reviews) for the European Journal of Tourism Research. It is a privilege to join the editorial team of one of the leading open-access journals in our field and to contribute to advancing critical dialogue in tourism and hospitality research. I am very grateful to Prof Stanislav Ivanov and Prof Giacomo Del Chiappa for the opportunity given. As part of this role, I will be coordinating the review of new and significant publications in tourism and related disciplines.

✍️ Why write a book review?

Writing a book review provides an excellent opportunity for academics and researchers to engage with new ideas, expand their professional visibility, and contribute to the dissemination of knowledge in our community. Book reviews are particularly valuable for PhD students and early-career researchers. They help develop critical reading and analytical writing skills, strengthen academic voice and argumentation, and provide an accessible entry point into publishing. Reviews also allow contributors to position themselves within current academic debates and gain recognition in their field. Moreover, preparing a book review encourages reflective thinking about how emerging scholarship connects to your own research and teaching practice.

📚 I also welcome publishers who wish to have their recent titles considered for review in EJTR to get in touch directly. I look forward to collaborating with colleagues who share a passion for reading, reflection, and advancing tourism scholarship.
